I got an old roll of polaroid polachrome asa 40. Does anyone have any experience with this film and/or how good the results are?

How old is old?? If it's too old it probably will be a wast of time. polaroids have a developing paste inside them, changes are that it's already dead.

even if it might be dead, i'd say try it anyway. if the chemicals will still develop and it's really old, you may end up with really weird colors (which can be fun in and of itself).

and if the ASA is 40, you're gonna have to use a tripod or flash pretty much no matter what.

true, but i've taken some Polaroids with film that has been 50 years old, & they are some of my favorites photographs. amazing weird colors.
