Remedy's upcoming Max Payne'ish game, Alan Wake presented on Intel's new Quad Core CPU setup:

Simply stunning. Can't run this beast of a game engine on a single core CPU, and it struggles on most Dual core's.

By the time it comes out, Quad core processors should be as readily available as dual core processors are. Stupid thing in my mind is, we're just now starting to code software for dual core optimizations... yet we're already jumping up to quad core. Kind of dumb that dual core hasn't even been fully realized.
