Great pics there Squidgit!

The one thing with cats' eyes is that they are very efficient at receiving and reflecting light. That's why their night vision is far superior to ours.

My co-worker has a huge orange cat and she has scared him a few times when he would get home at night and she would be looking out of the darkness with her eyes reflecting light from the hallway.

It is amazing how eyes can really "glow" in the dark with the proper lighting. Our neighbour's dog's eyes were doing that tonight. And she is also a black dog!

I think the cat yawning is what made the picture so cute.

Humans actually can have this happen too. It gives kind of a creepy red-eye effect. At my nephew's wedding, all of his bride's pictures turned out this way. It made him look like he was marrying a vampire. She kind of acted like it, too, come to think...

"Well, let me just jump into my time machine, go back to the Twelfth Century and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophecy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show."

Superstition, fear, and jealousy; yes, vampires are real, and so is the... devil cat.

Life's more fun without PS.

i have a pic on my mom's old phone (on which everything but the signal processor works) but we can't get it on a computer. it's our cat, shadow, and he has a strange blue aura around him, no glowing eyes.

???? All our orange cats were always 50/50. Perhaps there is some odd thing that makes people think that, but - genetically, I never saw it Orange tabbies - always equal male female. But I lived in Michigan.

Trying to find a male calico cat, that's something to find!!!

Also I have seen equal male/female white cats. BUT an overwhelming majority had one green eye and one blue eye.
