New look for the tercel?

So I've been doing some thinking with the Tercel. I put a new engine in it in october (Ported/Polished 1.5 with the TRD cam, TRD head gasket, larger ijnectors, throttle body, etc... it pulls quite nicely for a sewing machine motor... actually it pulls to 125 mph, and pretty steadily at that.)

Anyways, this is what the car currently looks like:

And here's somewhat of an idea I came up with for a body kit:

Ideas? Sorry the sketch is kinda rough. It's kind of Mitsubishi Evo inspired.

Oh, and picked up this as a parts car last week:

Whee! A Paseo... bolt in twin cam engine! (With less than 1000 miles on it... then the kid thought he'd drive it into a chevy avalanche. It also has some pretty kickass seats (bolt in for tercel), 4 wheel discs with much larger than tercel front brakes... again, all bolt on.

Should make for a fun winter project anyhow... I think I'm gonna drive the silver tercel in the first pic for the winter and do some work on the blue one.

if i remember right, the Paseo was just a zippy-looking Tercel... they looked nice but didn't really have any meat under the hood stock... still, the Tercel is something that you don't see done up ever... The swap that i'd envision for a Tercel would be swapping in the engine out of the early 90's Celica GT... Or, better yet, try to adapt a Celica GT Alltrac Turbo drivetrain to it. Those cars were and are feared in a streetfight, even today. Of course, finding one is the next trick.

Anyways...

Actually the early 90's Celica GT just had a 22RE (The truck engine...), my Tercel whoops my friend's GT-S quite regularily. It's great fun!

...the Alltrac turbo was another story. Mmmm.

Although the Paseo didn't have a lot of zip, the aftermarket for that engine is nuts (Compared to almost nothing for the Tercel engine)

i did not know that...
while i was in Tennessee, we'd always go down to the street races in Cleveland on Friday and Saturday nights. I had an 88 Cavalier RS 2.0L/5gear at that point. It was ridiculously quick for what it was and what I had done to it. I had a kid come up next to me in a Paseo with 17" wheels on it and a fartcannon and just grin... after all, Cavaliers are easy pickin's, right? I grin back and he says, "You ain't scared is ya?"

"not of that car, bubba."
the light went green and all he saw was tailights. Still, though, for a Tercel chassis, they looked kind of cool. Eager to see what you do with it.

Hehehe... I've done that to a few cars around here. There's nothing quite as satisfying as beating some ricer kid's Civic or whatever, especially after they call you on. I wasted a lowered, fart-canned, tinted VW Jetta the other night who kept pulling up beside my car and revving it to the limiter. Felt great.

i've been toying with the idea of pulling the supercharged emblems off my Cobalt... it has the low wing (basically the same wing all the base coupes and 2.4SS have)... and sucker them in.

Do it!

I did that on my BMW M car... so it just looked like a stock 3 series.
