Ok so has anyone else been to the Lantic Sugar factory lately? I was there not long ago and the entire back silo was absolutely loaded to the tits with recycling, empty bottles and cans and cartons and blue boxes and stuff. Also there was active security, roaming around in an H3. Anyone know how long that's been the case?

I haven't been down there in a while. So it's now a recycling center?

Sure looked like it. There was all kinds of heavy machinery parked outside presumably for loading the place. there must be at least 8 feet of shit piled up in parts of it, looks pretty cool from the top of the ladders. They also had the hole in the fence wired shut with concrete chunks leaning on it but ummm, someone seems to have removed that...

Haha, wow talk about a small world. I mentioned the place at work, turns out it's owned by Skip, the guy who owns the dumping site at Taunton and Stevenson. We've worked with him a lot over the years, and we actually have a bunch of enormous rollers out of the sugar factory sitting around our yard. So he has indeed been using it as a recycling center, and he owns the security company (Canadian Shield) that rolls around in the H3s. I haven't been back since I made the original post, but i wanna go check it out again soon. The mountains of recycling must be huge now
