Internet formality

Few things piss me off as much as people who post using poor grammar and spelling. Is it really that tough to capitalize letters? This site features a spell-checker, yet there are still countless spelling mistakes that any third grader should know how to fix. When words are the only thing you have to make an impression with, I would think people would put a little more effort into coming across as an intelligent adult versus a half-retarded monkey.

Terrible grammar, spelling and punctuation is something we must all deal with daily on the internet. Now, I'm not going to flip out on someone for accidentally spelling one word wrong, or forgetting a period, but if every fucking sentence runs into the next with no regard for grammar or spelling, I'm going to get pissed off.

I agree. The internet has killed any sense of proper grammar or spelling. This sort of thing is very common:

hey first time posting on the uer forem i am a l337 sexplor so gimme places to go is it cool to tag places wut up dog mofo YO! theirs sum cool places near me but dawg doody im not tellin u cuz im to 1337!!!!111!111one

If these people used the spell check and bothered to use capital letters at the appropriate spots then the world would be a better place.

Personally,I won't even bother reading a post that has no paragraphs, just a ton of sentences running together. That irks me more than anything else,I'd say.

I also refuse to shop at stores that have misspelled words on their signs.

SPEAKING of that... Urgh, there was a pizza store that had 'Burger and FRYES' on their ad. I hated it.

Whenever I have to hire someone, it is soooooo hard to take people seriously if there is even the tiniest of spelling or grammatical mistakes on their resume. And there almost always is. I can't help circling them. If we end up calling the person in for an interview anyway, they'll see these little red marks all over my copy of their resume.

There's a salon type place near where I live and on a sign in their window, it says "eye browns waxing" instead of eye brow waxing. Every time I see it, I cringe.

I think "eye browns" means "anus."

They probably also offer "lip pinks bleaching."

I know what you mean Wiccan. Posts like that give me a headache!

Sadly, we have a free education system. Too bad a lot of people don't use it.
