Urrrgh I hate it when this happens! I met this guy, I'll call him Roger, the other day; he's my friend's main dealer and I've been wanting to get hooked up with him forever because he gets good prices on acid (5 - 8$ a hit). I meet him on the downtown mall, and decide not to smoke a cigarette there while I'm talking. I explain how I got busted for it so I'm being careful about smoking in public. This sounds insignificant but I think it factored into what happened later. Anyway he's telling me about how a new shipment is coming in and he's selling it for 5$ a hit, so I tell him I might call him later. Another friend of mine gives me his number. So I call him up on the day it was supposed to be coming through town, he's like "sorry man I think it'll be here tomorrow". I call him the next day, and he doesn't pick up the phone for a few hours. Finally I leave a message. Then I call him back later to say that he can meet me at the busstop at 8:05 and I'll be buying eight for 40$, so he says "yeah alright man". He never shows, I call him again and he explains how people let him down and he's picking it up "probably today or tomorrow". The next day he doesn't show up, so I call, he doesn't pick up, I figure he's probably worried about who's calling so I leave a message saying I'll call back in a few hours. Same story when he picks up. Then today I call and he says "Ummm yeah dude you're really sketchin' me out bro' I mean you keep leaving messages on my voicemail and . . . yeah dude you're kind of freaking me out" <click>

I mean I'm not mad at him, I know it pays to be cautious. I think he was suspicious because the only time he met me I was just some random kid hanging out with people he knew, and refusing to smoke cigarettes. Besides that he didn't know anything about me, not even how I got his number. Still though it really pissed me off (not at him, but just at the whole situation). I hate it when deals take this damn long. My friend, who's known him for like five years, is gonna talk to him tomorrow and explain how I'm not a narc and how I smoke him up after school pretty much every day. Hopefully I can pick it up then.

The worst part of it is I've only smoked like three times this week because I've been holding onto this money for so long to buy LSD

So absolutely NOTHING has changed since I went through the exact same scenario 25 years ago.

At least bad deal bummers have remained consistent.

This didn't happen to me, but it's a cool story so I'll pass it on.

My friend M used to sell out of his apartment in MN; mushrooms and weed. She sells a friend of a friend a n bag of some of the more iffy weed to a guy for five bucks. He comes back an hour later with a gun, yelling about being screwed over.

Then cries.

Then leaves.

Five bucks.

Shit ended up working out; apparently he acts like this to everyone he's just started working with. My friend's getting it today and giving it to me tomorrow (I trust him alot, and he has no desire to do it either).

I haven't had to skulk around the highschool parking lot/hide behind trees/ lurk through the mall since I was 16.

If buying anything within this realm/sphere takes more than 20 minutes of my time, I'm not interested, because the seller is an amateur.

In my world, everything I could ever need/wish for is a phone call away, sale is cash and/or credit, weight/quality is assured.

Yeah shit ended up not working out; my friend's always bragging about this guy but I'm not impressed at all. First we call him and he says he'll be downtown in half-an-hour (he doesn't have a cell phone or a car, though he pretty much lives on his own). We call him again, and he says "gimme twenty minutes". He finally shows up, like an hour after I left, and it turns out that he has to both wait a few days more for it to arrive AND the price went up to 12$. Fuck him! So I'll just ask around with some other more reliable people, and tomorrow we'll just smoke 60$ worth of weed like we usually do.

My normal guy is so much better . . . it's very simple. I call him, he asks what I want and tells me what the prices are this week (prices vary depending on quality so really it all works out the same whether it's 15$ an eighth or 45$), I tell him to meet me down at the busstop tomorrow at 8:05, he shows up, sometimes five minutes late or so, and sometimes he'll smoke a bowl with us. Too bad he doesn't deal with acid.

i once paid 150 for a ball of the fine snow and teh chick ended up blowing the shit cause she was a feind and ended up in the hospital. tried to nark everyone out. that sucked.

paid 70 for a script of vike es and the dude took the money and ran. fuckin heroin addicts. found him a week later...

been ripped off too many times to type out on weed.

I disagree. If you've been into it for a long time, I bet even people with good hook-ups get ripped off sometimes, especially if they're buying something oddball where they have to go to someone else. And some people (though I'm pretty sure not me) can handle Coke just fine.

I've been "into it for a long time". I don't get ripped off cuz I'm not dumb. I only buy my nugs from good friends; not random kids/fiends.

Cocaine is a shitty drug. I don't care if people can handle it; getting involved with a drug like that is just dumb. For such an expensive drug, the high sucks. It's short-lived and addictive. When you get involved with drugs like cocaine and heroin, you start dealing with junkies to get the product, so your chances of getting beat rise up ten-fold.

I ran into the guy today. Got four hits for 30$. I'm giving two to my friend. They're two gel-tabs with one hit of liquid dropped on each. So shit ended up working out. Tomorrow's going to be awesome. I've heard gel-tabs are really potent. Anyone ever had them before? I bet they all come from the same guy . . . mine are yellow/orangeish.

when I'm getting stuff from new sources, I tend to call and leave them alone after that, if they're out I'll ask when I can call back, and if they don't answer, I'll try a day or so later (I don't leave messages). If they don't answer then, I just leave it at that, no point getting worked up over the shit.

Nah it was dropped right in front of me. And we told him it was for my friend, who knows him really well, so I'm almost positively sure it's legit.

we'll only really know what happens when you post your experience after you take the gel caps..

some when are you going to knock this experimental phase off? before or after you end up in the emergency room?

And I don't want to argue about the "dangers of LSD" or any shit like that. I'm not a fucking idiot, I researched the hell out of acid before I tried it (not on the 'net, I mean at the local University with reputable journal articles). The four studies that have been done trying to link "LSD and psychosis" found the actual rate to be about 4 in 10,000 people, which is the rate of psychosis in the general population anyway. Yeah it can give you some weird ideas, and if you do it enough you'll be a bit odd, but there's a huge difference between Timothy Leary and David Berkowitz.

Back on-topic:

Well those gel-tabs were weak. Probably like 50 micrograms. I think I got ripped off. Pretty fucking pissed about that. I took one two hours ago, and I feel a little dizzy/euphoric, colors are a little more intense, and I feel like I'm on the verge of a trip but I just need a little more push to get there. Whatever, I paid for 5$ worth of my friend's hit AND I bought him a pack of cigarettes AND he stole a quarter-ounce from me a few months ago. /me eats his hit.

I'll check back in later. Even with weak potency two hits should get me some visuals.

I'm just sharing my little piece of the drug use culture. Maybe because I am an old fart and don't want to see my 'internet friends' get fucked up or killed over something stupid... Don't think I bitch because i am a government 'drugs are bad mmkay' stooge. I've been there, done that... Personally, it's good to explore your world (no duh, right) But, goddamnit Horus... moderation and caution.

Just use your head and don't let things take you over. And that's with anything... alcohol, sex (although I don't see any harm in that), etc...
