I have to choose between two cameras:

SONY HDR-SR1: http://www.futures...080541&catid=23053

SONY HDR-U1X: http://www.futures...079704&catid=22273

I think I'll go with the HDR-SR1 for it's hard-drive based so you don't have to buy expensive dvds all the time, but I was wondering about what you guys think.

Main usage: filming high motion movies and editing with Adobe premiere pro 2.0

pc specs:

Athlon64 x2 4200+
1gb ram (Might extend to two if needed)
410gb HD (SATA)
Windows XP home

Would that be enough to edid HD (1080) footage ?

(P.S: The price does not matter since it's an extended warranty exchange)

Um, not much for cameras, but on that computer, I would up the ram to *at least* 2 GB and up the hard drive to about 800 GB or you will run out of space fast.

800GB for 1080 editing is probably a necessity.... 1-2 hours of the stuff can put you in the 15-20GB range....
