I'm currently in a UER/UE relationship, it's going awesome. I find that it is more interesting and fun dating someone who explores rather than a dead beat musician. *sigh* Exploring with that special someone is great. I don't know if this has already been asked, but how do y'all touch on this subject? Agree, Disagree? Experiences negative or positive?

Hey, if you and the other person get along great and share a common hobby, then go for it! Take your time and see if the relationship is for the both of you.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Well, dammit, I responded to the other copy of this thread. Since that one will probably get deleted I said:

No, we were already married. But for EVERY anniversary so far, we have explored something... It's nice

That's awesome. For our one month we're going to explore, probably Hamilton.

Now that would be way cool!

Hmm, shutterbug and I are talking about visiting Europe ourselves. Maybe I should try to see the village where my Dad was born.

I think that dating a fellow explorer can be great. There are alot of great couples that I know- who met while being explorers. I guess a good thing is that when you are doing something that you really like- it is easier to be who you are. So maybe since they are more honest upfront- they have a better chance of lasting.

Of course the flip side is the people you know who split up. You end up by exploring with them separately, they freak out about who the other one explores with and then of course you have the whole "one starts a new exploring relationship and the other gets really pissed" thing.

So now that I have rambled on quite a bit.... I guess I would say go for it.
I am married to a fellow explorer as well and it is great to be able to share it with each other.

I'll set you guys up with... the janitors closet! Oooh it'll be romantic. He can be the janitor and you can be: the janitors wife!

Hamilton's finest only.

or you can just settle for Lister Block or one of the other boring "abandoned buildings". They're nothing like the janitors closet though.

I got my first girlfriend friday night. I am going to take her exploring soon, I can't decide from a drain or a hospital. Most likely the hospital just because thats a little bit more scary (moves eyebrows up and down). I think that it would be great to get an exploring buddy other than my brother and his friends.

the downside (or is it upside?) of a partner in the field is that you end up getting lots of pictures taken of those freaky exploring moments. god knows where those pics all ended up :p

honestly, how can it be a bad thing? I think that exploring is a perfect partner with intimacy - you guys get to share a secret, its dark and scary, adrenaline gets going, yer all alone and you get tired so have a good excuse to stay in bed the next day. all day.
