| | | Posted by Sinister Crayon I could never stand the PC releases, but thats because almost all console games ported to the PC don't turn out well.

GTA III had a horrible PC release, mostly due to the camera angles, in my opinion. The controls were fine, and the aiming was okay. I've not tried Vice City on the PC yet, on that note. However... San Andreas takes the cake. With me being a FPS gamer, I love the manual aiming (line up for the head shots, boys) and having been able to add my own music, I found myself preferring the PC version over the console version greatly. While I couldn't beat the console version for the life of me, I aced this game on the PC and am still enjoying it every so often. But I guess that's a matter of preference. I can't aim for shit with a controller and the auto-aim isn't as efficient. Considering how often gun fights break out in this game, it's definitely a "make or break" ordeal. Also, "early 2008" release is the current word. I'll take it on a console for the first run, but hopefully I'll have upgraded my PC by the time it's ported. This game looks way too beautiful to pass up just because of platform differences.
