Yeah, trailer came out a 4 P.M. last night, trailer graphics in 720p were pretty cool. I'll definitely be picking this one up to sit next to GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas on the shelf (after I play it nonstop for a month of course!).

Now I just have to wait six months past the initial release for the PC release.

I could never stand the PC releases, but thats because almost all console games ported to the PC don't turn out well. Let's hope Halo 2 breaks that trend...

I think a lot of PC ports have turned out better than the originals, especially when they put in a lot of time to add new content, improve the interface/controls, etc. (i.e. Fable, Jade Empire)

I could never stand the PC releases, but thats because almost all console games ported to the PC don't turn out well.

GTA III had a horrible PC release, mostly due to the camera angles, in my opinion. The controls were fine, and the aiming was okay.

I've not tried Vice City on the PC yet, on that note. However...

San Andreas takes the cake. With me being a FPS gamer, I love the manual aiming (line up for the head shots, boys) and having been able to add my own music, I found myself preferring the PC version over the console version greatly. While I couldn't beat the console version for the life of me, I aced this game on the PC and am still enjoying it every so often.

But I guess that's a matter of preference. I can't aim for shit with a controller and the auto-aim isn't as efficient. Considering how often gun fights break out in this game, it's definitely a "make or break" ordeal.

Also, "early 2008" release is the current word. I'll take it on a console for the first run, but hopefully I'll have upgraded my PC by the time it's ported. This game looks way too beautiful to pass up just because of platform differences.

I completely agree with you. GTA3 was basically a port from console. This resulted in the whacky controls, horrible graphics and shitty performance. GTA: VC was still a PS2 port as well, but with added PC optimizations including higher resolution textures and the custom music option.

San Andreas had a nearly ground-up PC built version. Hence the reason we didn't see it for like 7 months after it got release on the PS2. I think it was definitely worth it in the end, playing it with the texture options on Ultra High at a high resolution with a good sound card is a real treat.

just beat this game last night. I enjoyed being able to go into all of the abandoned buildings (as nerdy as it sounds) and seeing things like abandoned mansions. Good Game, definately worth my money

I'd get it, but i don't have a console and also I always lose interest in the missions and end up going on rampages and losing interest. Maybe when it comes out for PC in 2 years.

On a similar note, I reinstalled GTA: San Andreas on my PC and then downloaded the San Andreas multiplayer mod for it.

Kick. Ass.

I own it but still havent played it... too many good games right now and too little time. And this game is sure to suck all of my time away, so I'm finishing a few others first. (Ninja Gaiden II. Buy it. Now.)

Yeah, I'm usually on live as much as possible, but I just did a recent move back to Ohio and my subscription expired, but I just haven't had time to renew it and set it up here yet. But it WILL happen soon. my xbl gamertag is InterplanetAnna.

I am actually tired of the game same thing every time I play, I enter a room say whats up and i get either this as a response" Shut the F@#$ up" or this is a classic "everyone boot this guy" yeah Then i tell them to piss off and they chase me around the city, then they leave the game in frustration because they cant catch me and my awesome gta driving skills.
