you speak like they actually had a a good one .

Anyone remember the "ford has a better idea" commercials?

I also felt the urge to say "someday they'll use it" after each time they said it.

other than the occassional blunder, GM's weren't bad... look how many are still running around?

Pussies.
I can have the dash of a 1995-2005 Cavalier out in less than 5 minutes.

Heh, I did my radio change in the parking lot after I picked it up. Took about 10min for removal and install.

I found all sorts of the same little quirks in my new GM. I just bought an 07 Hummer H3 and because I run an auto business, am using it as a demo vehicle, sponsored by an ass load of vendors. When it came time for audio, Pioneer agreed to send me shit but warned me that there would be troubles with the OnStar Navigation & phone, which would not give the read out on display to an aftermarket head unit and that because of the warning chimes etc.... using the radio speakers, it would be expensive!

FUCK!!!!

Come on, Fords aren't that bad. My dad always had fords, and my mom currently has one now, and they are alright. My dads 03 Focus is ass ugly, yeah, but it's been a reliable winter beater, and at 190 000km it's not giving any problems.

And just to kinda keep this on topic, I just did an install on one of the greatest cars to work on, audio wise that is, ever : Ralliart 2005. Tones of room in the dash for the wires (put in an Alpine flipout LCD unit, tones of RCAs), everything comes off super easily. It was a dream to work on.

Isn't the Lancer RalliArt the wanna be Evo that you Canadians were stuck with because Mitsusushi wasn't allowed to import it?

we get some Canadian cars here... my first Pinto (78 Mercury Bobcat) was a Canadian car. I thought it was 'fuckin cool' because it had the kilometers in the big ring and it went to 160 kph... at first look, no one thought to check what it was. My friends' 79 Buick Lesabre coupe was a Canadian car as well.

they end up here... at the dragstrip on Saturday a kid in a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC G85 wanted to trade me his speedo for my boost gage

On one of our company Chevy Uplanders, I just as a joke set it to metric unit mode on one of my managers and boy she was confused

When I removed the stereo in my 1996 Toyota Avalon and replaced it with a kenwood, I had to remove half the dash, took about 45 mnutes for the complete installation. I replaced my speakers with 4 Infinity 4 1/2's it took one hour per door. I'd rather work on a GM anyday.
