Print swap are an easy, cheap and fun way to get hold of other photographers' photos.

By agreeing to participate, you agree to abide by the rules.

Here are the current guidelines:

1. Size: 8X12 or bigger

2. Type: B&W or Color is acceptable. You can also swap via internet. A full resolution image could be sent by email if both parties agree.

3. Mounts: There is no requirement to mount prints in this swap but both parties can make arrangements if ever they fell like it.

4. Camera: Use any camera you like.

5. Deadline: Once the swap has been made, please try so ship the print within 2 weeks.

6. Picture information: Please include with your photo information about the location, city and country, date it was taken on and any other information that you find relevant.

7. Signing the print: If the print is mounted, date and sign on the mount below the lower right corner (facing the print). If the print is unmounted, sign in the lower border, just as you would if mounted.

8. Please Understand that there must be no fees charged in the exchange. If you are swapping prints you must accept the transaction as an equal trade of intellectual property.

Putting your prints up for the swap

1. From your images, pick any number of photographs that you would like to put up for the photo swap. Create a personal thread (yourusernamehere's prints) in which you can share your photographs in small size.

Proposing an exchange

1. Contact the photographer by pm, or by commenting on their personal thread on the forum. Let them know you are interested in one of their pictures and that you want to do a print swap with them.
2. That person will attempt choose a picture they like from your own photographs that you have posted in your thread on the forums. Remember, you can very nicely reject a print swap proposition.
3. Establish a MUTUAL agreement on an exchange of each other's photographs.
4. Swap prints through the mail.

The aftermath

After you receive your print, you can take a picture of it, framed or otherwise, to show your swap partner appreciation upon receiving your print. These kind of pictures can be posted into the appreciation thread. You can also give some user feedback in the Feedback thread.

If ever you feel that something should be modified or added, feel free to pm me.

TaP or UER.ca will not be responsible for anything, swap images at your own risk.

I modified guidelines found on the internet here they are.
