I recall when honorary pirate Paul Martin (aka Canada's previous Prime Minister) visited Toronto they shut down the freeway from the airport to downtown so he could drive his limo without the pain of sharing the road with those annoying commoners.

I was speaking with the engineer of closed hospital recently who told me that a former employee had come by with a telephoto lens to photograph Bush's motorcade as it passed on the highway right next to the hospital. He got himself set up on the roof, aiming down at the highway below.

It's a really nice vantage point. The highway actually heads straight at the hospital building, before veering off at the last moment. So, anyone sitting up there with any kind of high powered scope could get a real nice bead on someone coming down the road....

He really shouldn't have been too surprised when he was suddenly visited by a police helicopter and sirens.
