I have heard storys about compulsive gamblers that really piss me off. These people are so addicted that they start gambling things that belong to their friends or family. One lost HIS DAUGHTER'S bedroom furniture in a poker game. Some men came to pick it up in the middle of the night, but his wife persuaded them to leave. She was still staying married to him because she knew he loved his family even though he had that problem. Another woman gambled away her house and I think it was the same one who gambled away HER CHILDREN'S college funds. What I'm trying to get at is BY WHAT RIGHT HAVE THEY TO DO THAT?!

I also posted a thread about living with compulsive gamblers on the relationships board. I can't imagine who would want to stay married to one.

Well, by the legal right that it is their's to do with as they wish, I suppose.

mutantMandias may cause dizziness, sexual nightmares, and sleep crime. ++++ mutantMandias has to return some videotapes ++++ Do not taunt mutantMandias

mutantMandias is something more than human, more than a computer. mutantMandias is a murderously intelligent, sensually self-programmed, non-being

It's called an addiction. They need help.

True... Very true

I actually feel sorry for husband and wives that go through this. And I can relate. Gambling, Alcohol, Drugs... It's all the same. It's an addiction.

There are a lot of other addictions out there too, and my husband does have one that we are working out together with out patient therapy (will be In-patient if he relapses) and I plan to stick it out and help him through it, no matter how long it takes.

Yes, a gambling addiction would be very intense to go through, but just like alcoholics and druggies, they need help, and I wish more people would understand that and get the help they so desperately need before it gets too out of hand

Wow! So your husband has a serious enough addiction that needs therapy, and he doesn't give you enough sex? Thats quite the scoop you are telling us of your husband!

I'm just wondering what happens if one of us on this board happens to meet you guys sometime in the future. Should we just play dumb on these two topics?

His addiction is affecting OUR life as a COUPLE, not his outside life of work, family and general life. So it's not something that affects him in every day life.

Hahah, maybe the addiction one... but the sex thing, well.. He is obviously apart of UER and DOES read threads... so I really have nothing to hide.

He is in the Air Force, and a very respectful part of his trade, and overall a great husband and provider for us as a family. I couldn't ask for more.

I figured your husband goes on here too, so I was kinda wondering what was going on.
