the Icom IC R5 should do the trick!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Define cheap. $30, or $130?

I bought my Realistic PRO-2022 for only $30 because the LCD had a broken back light. It works fine and covers everything I want (so far).

RadioShack Pro-97 is what I recommend. If you need to listen to P25 go with the Pro96

Pro96? Screw that... Check out the new GRE radios that are on the way.

I guess a better question to ask - what are you looking to listen to with a scanner? There's several dozen models so depending on what you want, we can steer you in the right direction ... then again a scanner isn't the 'right direction' but that's another story.

I know...but I have a feeling they will just sell them as GRE brand at RS.
