I had to walk around with my hands over my head for a while to catch my breath after reading about Mansons shocking antics. I used to really like Evan Rachel Wood (b. 1987) but just the thought of Marilyn Manson (b. 1969) dropping baby batter in her just makes me cringe. But hey, she says it's true love. Or maybe I'm just jealous of the fact he's tapping 20 year old hot pussy. Could be that.

I crushed one of the childhood dreams of Gidget Gein on his birthday. He went on about how when he was a kid he picked up this log and under it was a bunch of black roaches and amongst them a single albino roach. As he told me this he got all starry eyed, but when I told him that there is such thing as an albino cockroach, that they're only white after the shed, he turned extremely glum. That said, I do applaud Manson for influencing those kids at Columbine; that shit needed to happen, and probably wouldn't have without his music.

marilyn manson is just a more extreme alice cooper... just in it for the money now, but it used to be about the shock factor and the music when he first started with the spooky kids up until holywood... you could tell his point of view had changed when he released golden age of grotesque, im not a fan of anything after holywood... he is just a rich dude now, he is a very smart person, watch some interviews... he now spends his days drinking absinthe and painting watercolors... haha, i would love to live his life.

Exactly. Marilyn Manson is a brand designed by a bunch of artists with solid business acumen. These guys actually sat down and developed a business plan with the intent of marketing a packaged shock-show in the form of Marilyn Manson. The music is incidental.

I don't care for his music and I really don't care for his fans but I have to acknowledge that he is an intelligent and inventive artist. Totally can't stand the following he spawned, though I understand that there are fans who are not entirely obnoxious! Oh well, he doesn't seem to be nearly as popular as he used to be? The whole spooky kid thing seems to have gone out with the '90s but perhaps I am too young to know.
