I was just given a pair of Motorola Spirit MV11C Vhf portables.
They are not the MURS config I thought they would be, but are instead configured fot the Provincial Logging/Trucking common Frequencies. While this is usefull for 4x4ing on industrial/logging roads, I would rather configure them for MURS. Does anyone know of a way to do this??the programmed freq's are 154.1 mhz, and 158.940 mhz, and are of little use to me. Any help would be great!!

-Toad.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Yah...I have that page bookmarked....However, this one is programed for BC trucking/logging freqs, not MURS like i would like. I would like to rewrite the memory to have murs. (EEPROM ON THE PLL???)

The MV11C isn't programmable as much as just selectable between a few pre-programmed frequencies. It does cover MURS.

If it's not willing to go onto MURS, it's not an MV11C.

No it is that radio..i have recently found at least a dozen of them around ham meets, and second hand shops. They are ALL programmed for these two BC trucking freq's. I guess they were a special programming deal for BC.
