My Shadow cat is no more. He just stopped eating a couple days ago, and was lethargic so I took him to the vet. The vet said he had some kind of kidney infection. Evidently his kidneys failed. Poor little guy.

Been almost two years since I lost Cheese, and I still haven't been able to get rid of his water dish.

I feel for ya man.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

Sorry to hear about Shadow...poor little man.
Cats are incredibly good at hiding medical problems until it is beyond help.
I am sure he lived a happy life with you.

If you decide to adopt again please consider another black cat. They are so hard to adopt out and it is one the most common colours found in shelters.
They have just as much love to give as any other kitta so I will never understand why...I guess it is the "bad luck" stigma that follows them around.

I don't know if I will adopt another one right away - I still have five more cats. But I would definitely take a black one again. He's not the first one I've had and they have all been cool. I know they are hard to adopt out. I didn't even find him in the shelter - he was a stray who ended up on my neighbor's doorstep. They didn't want him because he was a black cat, so we kept him.

brought a tear to my eye. my cat, also named shadow, has hidden his problems from me before, hard to tell if he's hurt because he doesn't like to be touched anyways
