So, who pushes their hardware farther than it should on here? I'm currently trying to push my P4 Prescott into the 4.0ghz range. So far it's stable at 3.6Ghz.

The Prescott is on a Thermalright XP-90 and I've got OCZ Performance Series 2GB PC3200 in dual channel at 240mhz, 3-4-4-8. It's all sitting on an ASUS P4P800SE, which is proving to be an excellent overclocker for it's 4 year old age.

So whatchoo guys got?

I've got an athlon 64 3200+ I was gonna over clock it originally but lost interest, currently the machine is just sitting around....Mostly cause I don't like having the massive monitor on my desk.

I haven't overclocked in so long but the idea reoccured to me recently to do this to my machine. Doubt I'll squeeze much more out of a Celeron 2Ghz processor but it'll be fun none the less. Besides I'm pushing my wife to let me go dual-core and use the current parts to build a Media Center machine to store my son's movies on so he stops scratching DVDs. She's already getting fed up with how slow ours is, but really that's because I was messing with Windows and just need to wipe and reinstall it. The current install has been there for 3+ years.

It worked yesterday!

Overclocking those old Celerons can actually be kind of fun. Some of them can take a lot of stress. You won't really end up yielding any additional performance but the numbers can be interesting.
