Since a few weeks ago, my girlfriend has become basically dependent on Red Bull and espresso. It's getting really weird; she just can't stop talking any more. I'd like to help her out. Is there anything out there that can wean somebody off of 3 cans of Red Bull per day?


Or I could just wean myself off of being around her.

of all the addictions in the world, caffeine probably isn't such an awful habit.

But if your concern is how she acts when she's all hyped up on caffeine (I get pretty crazy too, but I work in retail so I must be crazy anyway) why not offer up some alternatives?

Like if you know that she has a red bull when she comes home from work, make her a hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows. no human woman can resist that. does she like tea? try some new flavors with her!
It may not always be practical to have something else for her but sometimes is better than never.

If you're really into her and you're willing to work to keep it going, it might be a very good idea to actually just say something. I recommend choosing your words wisely. She could easily interpret your concern as an attack against her, then you'll have a gigantic mess!

Maybe something is bothering her? Did anything happen around the time she started fiending for the caf'? Maybe she's having problems sleeping. Maybe it's just a phase. but you won't really know until you start that dialogue train a'chuggin, eh?

Yup. Some friends did that with me. Biggest favour they've done for me.

They just challenged me to go without caffeine for a day. No coffee at all. By 4:15 pm, I was ready to commit multiple murders and I had started work just 30 minutes prior to that. My bitchiness was so bad they told me to go get a coffee NOW! I got two large ones and chugged the first one down without realizing it. The other one was finished in 10 minutes. I switched to tea, and tapered it off. Now I can have one or two cups of coffee during the day and not get into drinking 15 to 20 cups (that was what I was up to at the time).

A caffeine addiction is not a reason to bail out on someone but she can do serious harm down the road to herself like ulcers and high blood pressure. Try to get her to switch to tea and get her to drink water as well to help flush the stuff through her system more quickly.

A lot of people do not realize this but a caffeine addiction can turn in to a huge problem if left unattended. Google it..

Fuck caffeine, and while we are at it, fuck cigarettes and fuck alcohol. Drugs too, fuck them too.

Food also, for being too tasty. (Unhealthy food that is.)

i have a caffeine addiction, its not meth, as long as its not too much caffeine to cause ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation it should be fine, i wouldnt worry about it

right now im at 3-4 pots of coffee a day.... i dont think anyone wants to see me stop cold... there have been enough shootings in the world

Cigarettes, caffeine, any of that, sex works, or so I'm told. I just can't seem to get Samurai to want to do it 20 times a day in lieu of cigarettes.
