http://www.gadling...ive-the-apocalyps/

These are some "concept cars" from a show that recently was held in Japan.
I'd probably just shoot myself in the face.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I do not buy Japanese cars. I think the only car manufacturer in Japan that is still serious and knows where they are going is Subaru.... and even then I have to wonder....

American concept cars are bad enough, but some of these Japanese concepts are utterly retarded (and a waste of money that could go to paying workers..).... like that one we saw a few weeks ago with the little robot in the dashboard....

man and i thought my suzuki needed respect...

if the american market pussy rode for these cars, then let them have at them...i won't buy one, their completely unrealistic. even my little 75 horse power beast will seem like a drag car compared to what the top speed of these things probably put out.

i mean yeah sure, they're great to just get around the house, but if as the article says "the world is ending....!" then whats a small little golf cart going to do to save ya?

and honestly, a car that swivils on a dime...can you imagine the posibilities of that if your drunk and decided to take the car for a spin in the driveway?

donuts would be like death. in a dome.

thats my long pointless rant.

I had the opportunity to drive the Mitsubishi iCar a few weeks ago... what a JOKE! Think 4 door Smart Car. It was a rear engine, 600cc turbo, right hand drive... and scary to drive. The dash mounted touch screen DVD/TV/GPS system was neat, but set up for use in the wrong hemisphere (So it thought I was in Australia), and only spoke to me in Japanese.

A neat experience, but meh, piece 'o crap.
