Expos, i told you... Exit 28 off the Northway, a little place called Paradox. There is a Chevette collector looking to offload some of his collection.

Personally, I want either a 240SX, 79-80 Ford Pinto or an 81-85 Citation X11

Yeah the Citroen 2cv has 3 lugs, as well as the Smart Car. I've always wondered if the Smart alloys would fit a Le Car. (The 2CV bolt circle looks way too big)

You're my hero. lol.

I miss my Pony, and I miss my Eagle. As much as a piece of crap as the Pony was, it was indestructable, and I put it through a LOT.

And I think a Chevette would make a great vintage rally car (Hey, Vauxhall did it)

In high school my friend tried drifting his Pony on a gravel road, spun out, hit some concrete stairs in front of a church, and rolled the car...

...and drove it nearly every day for over a year after that.

I will admit, we couldn't get the alignment right ever again, but man, total exterior damage was a dented fender, a lot of scratched paint, and a broken off mirror.

Oh, and his rear window louvers flew off.

I read somewhere that the Pony was a design that Toyota gave up on. The engine was just a Mitsubishi pushrod forklift engine...

lol! A friend of mine built a dunebuggy from a Towmotor propane engine. He got a hold of an old Towmotor brand forklift, which had a flat head 4 cylinder engine.
How he got it to work with regular gasoline, I'll never know, but from what I'm reading, it was just a carburetor conversion. He also ended up using a transmission from another forklift as well because it was the only thing small enough to fit in the vehicle. His model was from the late 60's, early 70's.
I can't find my pictures of it, sadly.

Hah, i did the damn near same thing...except in a Lada 1600 with a "rallye" package (It had a way stiffer suspension, alum wheels, beautiful, thick foam padded steering wheel, bigger park brake handle, dual sidedraft carbs and so on). We used to run unofficial rallye's back in high school, when i took a left handed sweeper sideways (nowadays we call it drifting!! lol), when my right rear tire separated from the rim and flipped me over. We put her back on her wheels and continued on. That car was a hoot!!! (i can't believe i just said hoot!)

Like this, but red!

Oh yeah, and i had a Le Car as well, i think that thing spent as much time driving on the local sidewalks as it did the roads when i had it!! lol!

That's AWESOME!

There's a Lada Samara running in the Canadian Rally Championship... and I think it's finished every race it's started. Funny thing is, it used to belong to Andrew Comrie-Picard who took second place overall in the championship last year, in a factory sponsored Evo... I guess he's moved up a bit.

Funny thing is how often he says "Dude I miss that Lada. You should get one."
