the ponys i see around here seem to be some tough cars, the pony even LOOKED badass, a tough looking car. you can do a lot to a chevette
| In high school my friend tried drifting his Pony on a gravel road, spun out, hit some concrete stairs in front of a church, and rolled the car... ...and drove it nearly every day for over a year after that. I will admit, we couldn't get the alignment right ever again, but man, total exterior damage was a dented fender, a lot of scratched paint, and a broken off mirror. Oh, and his rear window louvers flew off. I read somewhere that the Pony was a design that Toyota gave up on. The engine was just a Mitsubishi pushrod forklift engine...

| Hah, i did the damn near same thing...except in a Lada 1600 with a "rallye" package (It had a way stiffer suspension, alum wheels, beautiful, thick foam padded steering wheel, bigger park brake handle, dual sidedraft carbs and so on). We used to run unofficial rallye's back in high school, when i took a left handed sweeper sideways (nowadays we call it drifting!! lol), when my right rear tire separated from the rim and flipped me over. We put her back on her wheels and continued on. That car was a hoot!!! (i can't believe i just said hoot!) Like this, but red! Oh yeah, and i had a Le Car as well, i think that thing spent as much time driving on the local sidewalks as it did the roads when i had it!! lol!
