| | | I've been really happy with My Own Darkroom. Got passport photos done one day when I was passing by, and just took an instant liking to the place. Friendly people, knowledgeable, patient with utter noobs like me, and small enough that they actually care about their clients. That's what's important to me, so I've never bothered comparison shopping. Most of the stuff I've had done is in the 8x10" to 12x16" range, but there've been half a dozen or so hitting the 20x30" range. I don't shoot film, and I Photoshop most images, FWIW. They're great about making sure their prints match a supplied proof sheet for color. My last batch was a last-minute order - a dozen or so big prints in very few days, or I'd miss out on a last-minute show invite. They really stepped up and saved my bacon - even calling my cell to touch base while I was en route to pick the prints up. It was almost closing on a Saturday, they knew I was in a tight spot, and they went the extra mile to make sure I'd have the prints and make my deadline. You're a LOT more experienced than I am, so YMMV about what's important. Hope you find a shop that's a good fit. I'd be interested to hear how you make out, wherever you wind up going.
