As hard as it may be to believe, it's true. You wouldn't believe how much people hated me when I first started going into chat.

Nah, I've found "chatters" to be like any other group of dilettantes or social misfits. As long as you are respectful, have a sense of humor, and aren't obnoxious or annoying you will be fine. If you have boobs then you will likely be granted a kinder trial run unless the general consensus is that you are a manipulative, psycho douche bag. All in all, it's really not that hard to get along with these people. After all, we are far from being the social elite.

TL;DR - just don't be an asshole.
