I saw this happening and headed over there (around the corner from my house). Sadly I'm currently without a tripod so I only got a few good images out of the 50 or so I took:
I posted a few more of the images over in the photo section.

Explorer recall St. George--from 2/8/08 Cincinnati Enquirer letters to editor
Heartbreaking fire loss recalls long-ago adventure
We didn't ask permission, and for some reason it was unlocked that Sunday morning after Mass at St. George Church 25 years ago. The west bell tower had a set of rough wooden spiral steps with a frighteningly low railing. We scurried up just for the adventure and the curiosity, afraid that if the bells rang we would either be startled into a free fall down the tower or become partially deaf.
Before reaching the massive metal clock mechanisms and the huge solid bells, we passed years of handwritten graffiti along the walls. Each entry had the date, maintenance completed, workman's name, and the company that employed him (e.g. "August 31, 1887, oiled main gear of clock, D. Veer, Cincinnati Metal Works." All German names).
We were engrossed in the history and in awe of this magnificent house of worship and the love poured into it, when suddenly the bells began to chime three-quarters past the hour. Clasping hands over ears, we bolted down the winding staircase.
Since Friday night's fire, our hearts are broken.
We are UC alumni who were married at St. George Church 25 years ago this spring.
