I know there are photos in both the UEDB:
http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=25691
and on Cincinnati Transit:
http://www.cincinn...ransit.net/cln.htm

But the entry in the DB is the only place I can find that mentions the filming of the ghost train scene from Ghostbusters 2. Not that I doubt the knowledge of other members, but from searching across the internet all I can find is that the movie was primarily filmed in New York and California. I just can't find any information about the scene of the movie being filmed there so I was wondering where everyone heard this from.

That caught my eye once and I tried to do some digging, and found nothing. I think they only way to figure this one out is for someone owning a copy of Ghostbusters to watch the scene as soon as possible, perhaps posting it on YouTube. A side by side visual comparison is needed, I think.

Yep, the tunnel was in a proposal for the light rail proposal a while back. There is another in Cinci that was partially completed... and many thought that it was long gone, until a backhoe collapsed into one of the tunnels not that long ago.

^haha, yeah, but what does that have to do with Ghostbusters 2?

Here is the youtube clip...

And here is the Cincinnati Transit page...
http://www.cincinn...ransit.net/cln.htm

So far the DB is still the only place I can find any mention of Ghostbusters being filmed there.

Judging from the video...

The tunnel in the movie looks more square.

Ram, maybe we should hit this place up if plan A fails tommorow.

Yeah, the tunnel in Ghostbusters looks square, and a bit more clean/finished than the CL&N does in most parts... but there is the one side of the tube that is pretty clean concrete and it is vertical at the base. It seems a bit odd that they would travel all the way to Cincinnati to film just this one scene in a dilapidated tunnel.

But I wouldn't mind checking it out if plan A falls through. Maybe we can come away with some hard evidence Ghostbusters was there.

Seems plausible to me. There are tracks down there that are the same gauge as regular railroad tracks, there is a wooden platform in the middle of the tunnel made for what looks like filming.

I'd like to know the source, but I think it is entirely plausible, and believable.

:edit:

After some further reading, I think its kinda far fetched to assume that part of Ghostbusters II was shot here. I have no idea where the theory originated, though.
