The Blazer belongs to Memphis. It's got a warmed up 350, 40" gumbo mudders and a limited slip front. That hole got pretty nasty after a few trips through. My ford performed well all weekend, the new locker up front is awesome. If you need a locker, talk to Independent4x about the Aussie lockers. It's nice spinnin all four!

Yeah,Unless your 4x4 is a piece of shit like mine. It's supposedly Rear wheel drive..Yeah right that Jeep would get stuck going through wet grass,Only one rear wheel spins. Not both simultaneously, which I found rather odd.

Lockers or limited slip work great for tough offroad situations, but the factory usually won't install them because low speed turning, like in a tight parking lot sucks. Way to much binding and fighting between the driveline components. If you're not on top of it regarding the undercarriage, and can't tell as things start to bind up, things can get broken pretty easily..

Open rear ends are what is normally installed in rear drive vehicles, Limited slip will usually be in sport or performance cars and trucks, the rear will bind a little in tight turns, front and rear limited slip will bind and fight each other a lot, you can feel it.

Lockers will fight, bind, make noise, and break shit if youre not carefull.

I've decided lockers just aren't as good as a good ole weld job. I broke the rear spool in that 79 a couple times. My new truck I welded it up nice and haven't had a problem.

You know of what I speak regarding the low speed, tight turn radius woggle, wobble, Whatever it's called?

I don't notice it too much in low traction situations, but in hard packed dirt, or a fresh plowed parking lot. If I have to make a tight turn, and am too lazy to shift out of 4wd, my truck will do at least three woggles, and each on will require throttle input to keep things moving.

Axels, transfer case, spools, hubs, all trying to see who will snap first!!

Some people don't notice all this binding, I find it hard to ignore!

The ford is a might brittle for 4x4 anymore.

The SUB had a front Lincoln Locker. The spiders both cracked in the middle. But I also got it back one day with a broken axle shaft and stub shaft and missing U-joint. It's wierd that the spool would break, stock carriers are notoriously weak. But big tires and big engines make everything in between fuses.

I drink gasoline for breakfeast and beer for dinner!
Any problem can be licked with a case of beer and a few sticks of dynamite.

I had a 71 Bronco halftop that was unstoppable in the mud... it was only on 31" BFG's, 302 2bb, 3speed stick.

You know, I knew you were from Southern California just by looking at the first pic... I didn't have to look at your location.

There's something unmistakable about the landscape, homes and foliage.

Well to be honest those pics were taken over the summer, it's not like they were taken yesterday.

were expecting 10" to 20" of rain over the next few days. We just had a shitload of fires, and now there will be nothing to hold the mud in place. Should be interesting.

I always heard California would fall into the ocean, I assumed it would be due to an earthquake.

But I'm thinkin' we'll just slide right off sometime next week! Kinda like cheese off of a pizza.
