Woke up this morning... 4:30am... working days. I go out, warm the car up as it was fuckstickly cold out. Let the dog do his thing, put the dog back in the house, lock the door, get in my car and head to work where I promptly bury the car in the splatter at the end of my driveway. Won't go backward, won't go forward, just sitting there in 1st gear with the one wheel spinning... I get out, pissed off, and slam the door... IT LOCKS! The car is running, in gear and could take off at any second. The spare keys are in my house, which is also locked. There is no one home. Oh happy happy joy joy.

For whatever reason, however, the sliding door on the deck was unlocked but I had to WADE through three feet of snow to get there...
I managed to extricate the car and head to work, but that really set the tone for the day...

i know, who cares?
it's just one of those things, not only did I lock the keys in the car, i locked the keys in the car with the engine running and in gear. What are the odds?

EVERY Feb 14th, almost EVERY year, something bad happens to me involving a vehicle.

So far:
2000- Back my mom's caravan into a tree
2001- Put my Daytona in the ditch on the way to school, only to learn school was cancelled due to freezing rain!
2002- My first speeding ticket
2003- actually... nothing this year!
2004- Ditched my VW Rabbit Diesel after coming over a hill to find a Malibu PARKED in the middle of the road. Owner of Malibu drives away.
2005- No incidents to report
2006 - Another speeding ticket
2007- Ex-Girlfriend runs my car OVER a median in Tim Horton's parking lot, crushing in driver's side rocker panel
2008- Master cylinder fails on my Durango, giving me the choice of a school bus, a chevy half ton, or the ditch. I choose ditch... have truck towed home, take Tercel to work, and lock my keys in Tercel on my way home, with engine running.


Oh... I also hopelessly mired my boss's Impreza WRX-STi in the snow today... I was pulling it out of the shop, and the lot hadn't been plowed. it's fucking STUCK! (But he's not back till monday)

finding 16" wheels for my car is turning into a holy grail quest.
i need snow tires!!!!!!!!!
