Why do I get scheduled to work all weekend on the days when Union Terminal has awesome tours and my new camera comes?

Sounds amazing, do you know if they allow photography? I couldn't seem to find much information on the tour itself.

I did a bit more searching and came across this description from the Heritage Programs website:

Saturday, March 29; 10, 11 a.m., noon, 1, 2, 3, p.m.

Sunday, March 30; 11 a.m., noon, 1, 2, 3, 4 p.m.

Saturday, June 21; 10, 11 a.m., noon

Sunday, June 22; 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m.

Celebrate Union Terminal’s Diamond Jubilee with a climb to its “high steel.” See this National Historic Landmark’s arched steel structure above its half-dome rotunda. This tour requires more than 200 steps and climbs on ladders in dimly lit areas. No cameras or carried items are permitted on this tour. Must be at least 12 years of age; under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy shoes required. Attending a weekend Union Terminal Rotunda Tour, as listed on page 2, will enhance the experience of this tour.

Fee: $10 for members; $15 for non-members

I may call and see if they will allow any exceptions, but it looks like anyone interested may have to wait until June, and not take any pictures.

Bummer that you have to reserve a spot. Maybe a phone call could rectify that situation?

Did anyone end up checking this tour out? The no-cameras made it not worth the $15 for me.
