This thing is located on the platform of a GO station and there is another one a bit farther down the line. What's it purpose?

Looks like a relay box to me....but i don't know shit. Ride on!!!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

I'd say a signal, phone, or relay box. Used to contact the train, dispatch, or other while sitting on the sideline.

Have any more pics of the area or the other box(es). I may be able to give you some more info on it, and can do some research if you need...

It's located right on the platform of the station. Sometimes the conductor will get out and do something with it. I haven't been close enough to see exactly what he was doing.

Sex toy for the conductor?

Good question. I'll ask some of my train expert friends and see what they say.

seeing as it says "push button" right on it.....there must be a crossing near by, and it's a crossing relay start....that, or a switch lining box!!!

That's a crossing activator. Push the button and the crossing will activate.

They can also have different uses though. Depends where it is really...

There is a crossing just at the end of the platform. Thanks for that answer.
