Can I buy 8 hours STRAIGHT sleep from anyone? Please?

Having a 3 year old and a 3 month old is slowly killing me....

The only thing keeping me awake is having to breastfeed every 2-3 hours and the pack of Pepsi in the fridge... and I must tell you, that there is only 3 cans left.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[edit] I'm so tired I can't even type properly!

Ah yes,I feel your pain. I had three kids under the age of four by the age of 21,my second daughter wasn't even two when I had my son.

My four year old would understandably act up for attention, including pulling down a small hutch full of glass trinkets, nearly killing herself in the process.

My not quite two year old refused to begin potty training, would not stay in her crib, woke up at least once a night for a bottle and took great joy in saying NO to everyone and everything.

My ten pound newborn, who ate like a ten pound newborn, had a dislocated hip and club feet at birth, which required a very awkward waist harness and casts that had to be changed at the hospital once a week, where he would scream in pain.

With no car and an essentially absentee father, life was insane, and sleep was not an option. I've had grey hair since my twenties. You definitely have my sympathies, but I hope my wee tale of woe helped you feel at least a little better. Can anyone else watch the baby so you can at least catch a nap?

*Wow,I've just talked myself out of having more babies, though being my youngest is now twelve, that would be sheer insanity.

When one of my dogs won't stop barking, I lock them in the bathroom on the other side of the house and go back to bed.

OMG I feel for ya, girlfriend! Not getting enough sleep affects every part of your life.

Not to mention that your totally busy when your awake, not like your awake and just lounging around.

And when does that shit stop anyway? I remember being up all night with an infant. Then we moved on to being up all night because of being afraid of the dark. Then it was the constant need for a snack or a drink. And just when you think thats done your up all night doing homework and school projects. Then theres the crying all night into their pillow because they didn't get asked to the dance, and you need to stay up to comfort them.

Sorry Squidgit; your sleeping 8 hours a night are done!

Well my wife and myself have a 2 and 51/52 year old and an 8 month old and sleep is great. Turn-off the baby monitor, close your bedroom door, and leave access to the potty for the older child. You should wait until your young one is at least 6 months old before you ignore the babies cries, but after that it should be a breeze.

If our 3 year old does not sleep, we ignore her and eventually she will fall asleep. We just walk into her room, take away the toy she is currently playing with, put her back into her bed, and walk away again without saying a word. She learns very quickly what behaviour is expected.

Id imagine it'd suck having that 51/52 year old baby.

she is 2 and 51/52, I was making light-fun of the post above by IanK1968 where he talks about his kid being 2 and 3/4 Years old. Most people round-up the ages by half years...... 2 and a half, 3, 3 and a half, ect. He was very accurate with the 2 and 3/4 comment, so in light mockery... I was as accurate to the week. Now someone should be accurate to the day, then the hour, then the minute, ect.
