My 3 month old is driving me bonkers by wanting to breastfeed every 2-3 hours for the last.......... well, for her whole life now.

Can someone who is lactating come to my house and just feed my child while I sleep for a few hours?? PLEASE?!?!?!

And yes, I do have a breastpump, but I never have the time to get a good supply up to pump it out because Ms. Fussy pants wants to eat 24/7

Ahh!

aw man. was your first baby like this?

i am having a hard time with breastfeeding just because i wasn't able to even try until she was almost two weeks old.

she latched on though - but my milk has never come in. when i pump i produce less than a third of an ounce (between each boobie).

my sister had the same problem with her kid that you're having right around the 3 - 4 month mark - but she just stayed persistant and would only feed him unless he was very hungry. try to lengthen the time between feedings if you can - even if it's only by 10 minutes.

that is my lame advice.

Our boys were the same way. I can still hear my wife muttering, "my tits feel like they are touching my knees, my nipples ache, and I'm tired...(twitch)"

If it's any consolation, they were bothe weened very easily.

Is there some league of breast-feeding women? I recall my sister being in it when she had her kids, La Leche? The Milk. LOL. If it's any consolation, again, you probably won't have to do it for much longer and then never again.

You betcha

No she wasn't. But on the other hand, I only breastfed my fist child for about 2 months... this time I'm trying to keep it up until 1 year old (or when I transition over to cow's milk)

wow i really admire you for going for a full year. i wanted to go at least 6 months with sadie, but it's been so hard. i don't think i'll make it six weeks. not my choice, it's just that the little milk i have is drying up fast.

have you ever read the book The Womanly Art Of Breastfeeding? It's a LLL book and i really enjoyed it. it wasn't so "mechanical" in the explanation of different techniques, problems, etc associated with breastfeeding. i highly reccomend it.

my sister just weened off her little guy and he's 10 months. you - and people like her are my heroes. i wish i coudl have been as successful as you both.
