My "week straight from hell" began today with someone partially blocking my driveway.

Any suggestions to stop this from happening???

(yes, I understand this is hardly as bad as other people's "weeks straight from hell" - but still...)

Check you local laws. I had a similar issue and after asking nice, I called the city and the car was towed to a city impound lot. Granted they were partially blocking a garage in the back of my house so it was all my property but same principal.

Maybe the fire marshal might be able to help too. Blocking a driveway has to be considered a fire hazard.

Like David Dong stated.

However, regardless of the local laws, the person is still restricting or blocking access to private property. If you happen to know which house they're visiting, go over and ask nicely first (being polite usually gets far better results the first time). If you don't know where they're visiting or they give that "I'll be out in a few hours" bull, then call the cops and get him/her towed.

Of course, putting a battering ram on your vehicle and just pushing them out of the way is very effective if you don't mind the legal ramifications or the possibility of retribution being meted on your property.

Good luck fedge.

Everything interesting is always behind a fence.

Drive up behind him, gently roll forward until you touch his bumper, then floor it causing his car to go forward, problem solved lol.

I don't think I can just drop pylons on the street, it's not my street, it's the city's.
