Composition is good, next time keep the light source/sun to your back and maybe if your subject is going to be partially obscured by a tree maybe dont have her obscured again by her own arm.

actually I have no clue what im sayin, but thats what id do.

I did try to keep the sun to the back, but I wanted to play with the lens flare for a couple of shots, turned out I personally liked the lens flare.... Not a typical shot, but still... Thanks for the suggestions.

I meant for example in #2 her face is in a shadow which makes it lose detail. And theres barely any lens flare there either.

Nice stuff, number 2 is well composed however...you should have used a fill-flash to bring out the facial details and compensate for the sun being behind the subject.

Something I've found in "people shoots":
Most women, especially ones who are healthy and have a little meat on their bones, will be hyper-critical about their bodies, no matter what the angle. This being said, it is usually a bad idea to shoot up at a from-the-ground angle. Trust me, I've had good shoots with women who aren't stick thin, and the only reason they've liked the way they looked in the photos was because of the angles. When you shoot up at someone, most normal people who aren't "model-thin" will see attributes that they are not particularly fond of, i.e. double chins, arm flab, up-nostril shots, and the like. Its just human nature, but when you're used to looking straight on as in a mirror, odd angles on photos can make you feel fat. However, extreme angles like in #3 work well. When you shoot "down", you miss all the flaws and have a better chance at people being drawn to the focal points, i.e. her eyes, the color depth of her hair, the way the light enhances these features.

Overall, I think you did an okay job, it just takes a little practice and a little direction for your subject. It can be a lot of fun to photograph people. Good luck!

Hmmm I like them all, in number 2 though I wish there something in the empty sky to focus on too....but you can't really help that nothing was there. (Photoshop) hehe.
