salvia doesn't really appeal to me, I tried it even before I tried smoking pot, but I've never broken through on it. It seems like at this point I would just be extremely uncomfortable during the whole thing and have a total mind fuck.

Hm. Well, I know it's really expensive in the stores, and usually NOT worth it (overpriced, and also it's not high quality, NOR is it what they say it is). I've never bought anything from a store. I use online vendors that are members of a forum I am on where they talk about the same stuff as the "green room".

That being said, my 25x is truly "25x". And I have a real good time with it

I only have some every few months, and it's always great.

Yeah, ever since the kid killed himself who smoked salvia (and did a hell of a lot of other drugs, and had mental illness long before he ever smoked anything).....well, a lot of places are banning it.

But some states are just making sure people are 18 or older if they want to buy it.

The dumbass videos on youtube don't help, either. The only thing that has slowed the bans is the fact that nearly 90% of people who try it don't ever smoke it again.

So, I bought a vial of 30x yesterday. I was at a friend's place (there were four of us), and we were just relaxing, listening to some Frank Zappa. We all agreed to smoke a bowl each. This was the first time salvia has really affected me. About 40 seconds after inhalation, I floated out of my body, and viewed the four of us from above, sitting in a square formation. We then turned into steeples in the roof of a building, but with clear human characteristics. Our surroundings then became quite like a cold winter night in Quebec. I began speaking to one of the buildings near us, asking it about the addictive potential oh salvia. It calmly (and somewhat condescendingly) explained to me that there was no evidence of addictive properties. I then shifted into a more normal, though still very high state.

Incredible.

I recently purchased some and tried it 3 times up to know. It only had effect once, and that was pretty quick, i feel i was ripped off for that 40$/G of 22X. Basically i felt that i was moving around in the room when i was actually laying in the bed, but the effects were short lived.

Effects while smoking will always be only a few minutes. Chewing gives you a longer but dull effect.

The guality is the key. I buy from a certain vendor, he only sells to places that are legal to sell it to, so if you are interested in it, let me know. I paid around $24 total for a gram I think, and it was 25x. I only need around .034g to get deeply into a "trip", so it lasts a while.

It's important you use a butane lighter. If you use a regular one, the temperatures are too low and it feels similar to a short, slightly different experience of weed than a hallucinogen. If you get it to the proper temperature, you should see effects like the post above yours.

Agreed! Also I believe a water bong helps - since you have to use a butane lighter, for a non-smoker like me, it cools the smoke a little, and I can take a deep breath of smoke and hold it in to let the salvia take effect. And boy, it takes effect before I can even put the bong down.

I watched a couple you tube videos and I think I'm good after watching the people freak out. I don't want to like, bite my tongue off or anything. That would suck.

yeah, from what i've heard, salvia is very particular about vapourising temps. use a jet lighter if you can find one, or a digital vape you can set the temperature on. the temperature required to release the salvinorin is around 240C, so if your lighter isn't hot enough, it'll burn the plant but not release the active ingredient.

on a somewhat related note, i'd like to do mushrooms sometime. i've heard nothing but good reports so far, especially for a first time psychedelic user.

smoke moar.

One, a lot of these people are morons.

You don't do it with any distractions. You are supposed to calm yourself, meditate, and then take salvia....no tv on, lie back, close your eyes, and dream.

The bad name it gets is from the idiots on Youtube, ruining the plant's reputation. Most of them just act crazy while a little high on it, and that's not what it's about, or even what it really does to people.

I took it one time with the tv on. I heard a loop of the same sentence for about a minute. I don't like to hear or see the outside world. Salvia is meant to be used for introspection. It's not used like mushrooms or any of that other stuff in which you see things altered around you.

At very high doses, you can have a trip that lasts about 2 to 5 minutes, in which you may move around, but you don't interact with the environment, or see things that aren't there - the whole environment around you will be "in your head", and could be anything. People who take that high of a dose will usually ask a friend to make sure they don't run into the wall or bump their head on anything. Once you come out of it, you'll notice "oh hey, that horizon I was looking at is really my coffee table. Weird."

I've only had a pot brownie before, and salvia, which is thankfully legal in my state. Salvia needs to be more respected or else it will soon be illegal everywhere.

I'm getting into the idea of shamanism. I read an account of someone meeting Salvias plant spirit. Interesting stuff. I'm called to do it one day but not yet. Ayahuasca first.

best salvia trip -
sitting in the living room, blue walls, 2 friends, both not using at the moment..
after the exhale, reality literally spiral-snapping into blue and brown diamond pattern, then leveling out to a lego city, all around me. i dont remember the whole bit, but i apparently stood up, as they would later tell me.
(completely unaware of physical actions, this is why you should NOT BE ANYWHERE EVEN SLIGHTLY DANGEROUS! imagine your body on auto pilot, and you went to grab a sandwich.. where would you park your body? in a closed off space, hopefully.)
i remember hearing voices calling my name. i recognized the voices as my friends, but i couldnt see them, and i was calling back... i was waving my hands in lego-land air, and then i heard another voice..
"if you wanna go back all ya gotta do is push it all awaaaay...." this voice i realized, was coming from a floating cartoon Kid glove. after realizing that he was correct, i ripped my arm around, so i could see the back of it.. the back of my arm was covered in what appeared to be tiny ivory teeth, but with the effect of velcro, keeping me i suppose, stuck there. after i pulled my hand free, i started pushing my arm from one side of my view to the other, and as i did so, the one side was reality, the other, still lego-land. i had the funniest look on my face, i bet, when i came fully to, staring at my arm, sheep smile, then looking at them..

then there was the time the swan boat man was wearing large plastic hats stacked atop one another, and was offering me his hand to ride the boat as he tried to sell me one...

then when i was a circus ride, partially a wooden floor. getting 'stuck' hurts. and the pressure for me is concentrated around the inside bridge of my nose and inside but under my eye area.

those events were all with people. usually, with others, and when the hallucinations arent quite so dream like, surroundings have a nostalgic blue and brown-orange color scheme, with white-blue lights switching directions and breathing, and creating harsh shadows that always always remind me of being a child and sitting behind the wall in the hall that led to the living room while my parents watched some 80's claymation in the dark..

by yourself youd have a different experience i am sure.. like pushing through a holographic grid, while reality is crystal clear behind it. talking to beings who arent there, talking to yourself as two persons, as your shadow. talking to what you thought was a close friend, forgetting you are alone.

i prefer to do any mind grabbing drugs on my own, albeit the chance of danger. such clarity of self, such union with existing.. everything in its right place.

tell me what this "Ayahuasca" is.. (i could look it up, but i want perspective of a conversing being!!)

and also, i fucking love mushrooms, they are not only for fun.
and not strictly to ''see what could never be seen..''
talk about clarity. you cry, because life is beautiful. you laugh, because life is completely ridiculous. you feel like you are apart of every single person in the entire world, at the same time.. while feeling that you are completely alone.. you feel your blood sliding through your veins, you connect so well with energy that you breathe in unison with air currents. (you may even communicate verbally so, with the rise and fall of what you think is the wave of energy)
keep in mind, this has everything to do with your natural thought processes anyway.. which is why some people flip out, some people have 'bad trips' sometimes. i havent ever had a bad trip. even when i was crying and lying on the floor, too exhausted from sobbing i couldnt move my body. it was all understanding what i do to me, what i allow to affect me. where i wish i would go, realistically and unconsciously.
it makes me feel at mental home.
