the bigger the company, the weirder and more inefficiently they operate. Case in point, the multination mess I work for... they have no idea what's going on.

You can say that again...it's leave your common sense at the door at IP.

I received a resume yesterday with a pic on it. No joke. I thought she had mistakenly sent her resume to little ol' us instead of the modeling agency that she really wanted to hit it big with...

Whatever the case, everyone in the office declared that we had to AT LEAST take her in for an interview simply because of that.

Are you hot?

No, I guess that's why the only job I got was at a homeless drop in haha. I am officially no longer pissed off!

Personally, for me, it seems my education didn't mean squat. I graduated in the top 10 percent from high school; and then went on to get two degrees.

For MONTHS I couldn't find shit for a job. Then I actually started asking why. The answer was always the same, "you have no experience."

My sister and I got together and came up with a bogus job to put on my resume. Her husband owns his own company and I used him as an employment reference. After doing that, I started getting job offers.

Education is great. But for me, it wasnt enough to get me the job.

More recently, my daughter has been looking for a new job. She doesn't want to use her current employer as a reference, and she had a blow-out with her former employer. So we put a bogus job on her resume for a reference. We have a seperate phone line at my house that we never use and put that number on the resume for a reference. Then we put a message on that phone from the bogus company. Sure enough, she got two calls on that line asking for references.
