A 50th Commemorate Anniversary of the loss of the New York Central Putnam Division passenger service will culminate a three day affair beginning on Thursday, May 29th – where Joe Schiavone, a friend of the New York Central Putnam Division line will be speaking and honoring the line that affectionately became known as “The Old Put”- He will start at 9am at Van Cortland Park Railroad Station and will be visiting selected railroad stations as scheduled –
Repeating that schedule on Saturday, May 31st and then on Sunday, June 1st at 1pm starting at the opened Yorktown Railroad Station, Joe will start with a talk that will be continued at the museum with a multi media presentation. A special railroad remembrance will be given to everyone who attends at the Yorktown Museum.
Joe Schiavone is the author of the recently published book titled, “The Old Put” Call the Museum for further information and the scheduled stops.
