In my department, we all get the same emails from the boss via a "global" email address for our department. One employee in my department always feels the need to print out all these memos and show them to us if he feels it applies to us. I keep on telling him we ALL get the same emails and if I want a hard copy I'll print out my own damn copy. Gee, it's always the little things that add up, don't they.

OMG I have the same thing going on in my office. And this person also "color codes" the emails. Prints them out on several different colored sheets of paper depending on the "urgency".

I don't get it.

They do that because they want to help and they want people to recognize their efforts.

How about when you get an email from the top of your chain, and every supervisor above you from the top down to you sends out to the people below them. I like getting 17 emails that there's a virus going around, or that the main page will be down for 10 hours.

What's more fun is when said virus is attached to one of the mails you get. By that time, everybody in the office has the virus and we're all up sh*t creek.

I hate serial printers. The guy in the office next to me feels the need to print every damn email my department gets and put it in my in-box. He also feels the need to re-forward emails that I already got. FUCK! Ok, thanks for listening.

I suffer from the other side...

I will send a memo or email to my people. I inform them of a new client/process/whatever. They don't even read it(or if they do, they don't apply the new info to their job) so I send it again or tell them verbally the new policies. Then they bitch that I keep repeating myself.

That is when I tell myself that this is why I am their boss and not the other way around.
