Posted by ExploringOhio I don't think I'll ever understand why the ALMS lets the GT2 cars be so different from their stock versions... especially since the cars like the Porsche 997 GT3 and the Ferrari F430 GTC are so close to stock (unibody and engine are production-derived). Now we have ANOTHER BMW entering the ALMS with an engine FAR different from it's stock unit... The stock V8 had a 90 deg. crankshaft, and this one has a 180 deg. crank. That big a shange just shouln't be legal. It makes the engine operate entirely different from the stock lump. Those classes were origionally intended to be for prod-line derived Grand Touring cars... what happened?!?! Don't even get me started on GrandAm!!! haha

Well, until they change the rules to kick BMW out (again!), I am looking forward to this run of domination. From what I hear they still have some other tricks up their sleeves as well...
