Gosh those things look more and more like blobs of plastic the more i look at them. European cars are the worst cars ive ever worked on. Theres a 2001 Golf 4 door in my driveway im ALWAYS working on. Today i fixed some airbag shit. Yesterday i fixed stuck brake lights. Last Wednesday i had to break open the trans and do the fluid. About 2 weeks ago i had to completely tear down and diagnose the AC system. Turned out to be a switch under the battery. VW puts their relays and fuses UNDER the battery. Totally ridiculous. Horrible engineering. Dont be a litle VW cult boy and object.

Do you listen to Pet Shop Boys or Depeche Mode while driving? What music is going to be playing in the background of the cruise video? Duran Duran?

Do you slick your hair up in the front and wear flared bottom jeans? LOL

No. Nissan Motorsports is the performance branch of Nissan. Nismo is in easy terms, an aftermarket company strictly dealing with Nissan vehicles.

Nismo, did any of your Montreal/Lachine VW friends get off the interstate in Keeseville NY for gas on Sunday?
There were two Golfs at the pumps there Sunday that you had posted pics of before... they had this tape on their back windows...WFsomething or other, 14? 34? something like that.

My friend phil was at waterfest.

Behind the fugly two-tone:

and BMW mirrors stay on BMW cars....

Otherwise looks like fun, you guys should trek it out to Dubcenter next year, or DATR in August if you care to do things on short notice...

I was wrong once before..... but not this time.

check out these two websites and tell me which one is affiliated with nissan

http://www.nissan....s/nismo/index.html
or
www.nissanmotorsports.com

Anyways the point wasn't to get sticky on the correct company name... it was to understand why Nismo is the handle for a VW fanatic

********

as an aside.... nice pics. Some very sweet rides...... drool over the A5

Uh no. What im saying is that Nissan Motorsports is the factory motorsports division, and NISMO is the performance parts division .

BTW, you have the wrong site for Nissan Motorsports. http://www.nissan-...com/JPN/index.html

If you want to talk about Nissans, feel free to email me anytime

Now i'm more confused. First you said NISMO is and i quote " an after market parts company dealing strictly with Nissan vehicles" and then said "It's the performance parts division of Nissan"
It's not a shot, i really am curious is NISMO an aftermarket company or a division of Nissan?

Not really interested in chatting about Nissans for the most part Dave.... to be honest. Not personal or disrespectful. I am an absolute car nut, and already went through my boy racer/ricer car days. I still customize rides, just not Honda, Nissan etc.. anymore

I guess i should clarify. Its my fault for leaving my answers half assed. NISMO is the sports parts division of Nissan, Nissan Motorsports is the racing division of Nissan. There are some NISMO production cars out there, like the NISMO 350z.

Its really a shame. Im 100% into older Nissan/Datsun. Nissan only sponsors a couple of road racing and drift cars, and some offroad racers like the guys in CORR. Nissan used to dominate the track with their factory sponsored motorsports. Im a huge fan of the Johnny OConnel and Steve Millen 300zx in the 90's, the Paul Newmann twin turbo v8280zx, and all the other stuff like Bob Sharp and all them other guys? Man.....

Stupid Nissan.
