When was this made? (I know I could look it up, but I am trying to have a conversation, lol.) I have been noticing the TV ads for it and thinking WTF?

Show up at 9:30 with 15 dollars cash and your fingers crossed.

the original movie was made in 1987.

the direct-to-dvd that comes out... well today 7/29/2008 was filmed in the last year; but a sequel has been rumored for *literally* decades

Well, Corey looks pretty good for his age then, by looking at the trailers. I always like the original, I may have to check out the sequel, I suppose.

Do you think they might ever make a sequel to Donnie Darko? I know the ending kind makes you think not. But it would be cool if they did.

They are doing so right now:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S._Darko
"S. Darko takes place in 1995, 7 years after the original film. It follows Donnie Darko's younger sister, Samantha, who, in the wake of his death, has found herself at age 17 with a broken family, mired in feelings of insignificance.[2] When she and her best friend Corey are plagued by bizarre visions, they set off on a road trip to Los Angeles,[3] following Frank the Rabbit's ghost. They arrive at a small town in the midst of a meteorite crash and begin to see the future. They then return to where it all happened in Donnie Darko, and change what happened."

Hmm I thought the whole point of the first mind-blowing movie was to show how time travel was illogical... seems the sequel might add a plot twist or two.

Sweet., I'll look forward to that a lot more than a Lost Boys sequel.

I recently watched this movie and wasn't to impressed with it. The original is a lot better.... you hardly get to see Corey Feldman in it either...

If I would have known that before watching it, I wouldn't have. It's funny though; Corey still looked the same as he did when he was younger lol.

This was one of the worst movies ever made. I don't care how good the original one was. This movie had no purpose other than to make a quick buck.

Awful, terrible, shitty shitty shitty.

sucks.
