I got together with a couple of guys from Ford-trucks.com and went to Triple B Clays in El Monte. First we shot trap, then skeet. I hit 14 of 25 on trap, i cant remember hitting much in skeet. I was shooting an unpadded Ithaca 12 gauge with an adjustable pattern muzzle. We shot 3 rounds, and man my shoulder is already black and blue. As the day went on, i started getting scared of the gun because it hurt so much. A gentleman who was waiting for our group to finish, joined us. He had a 12 gauge Perazzi, and he let me shoot it for 4 pulls. I hit every single one of them, and a double pull. The Perazzi is so light and comfortable, and has very little recoil. Its also $10,000, what an honor to shoot such a nice gun.

Next time i shoot a shotgun, im renting, or buying something else.

Went shooting myself this Sunday with a brand new Rossi 38 special. Got it on Saturday. As soon as I started shooting every fifth shot would jam the weapon. Sometimes it would work, sometimes hammer and trigger would stay frozen. Owners of the range said that it sounds like ammo problem...Any ideas?

I'm not buying ammo problems in a revolver, unless they are reloads, which can sometimes be of uneven length.

Might want to take a look at the cylinder. The notches where the advancing lug engage can sometimes be rough. It will let the cylinder get just slightly out of time, and eventually jam it.

Odd problem. Rossi is inexpensive, but they normally fire just fine.

Well, I did have a couple problems with OLD ammo before. Well, not me but I was there. Friend of mine was firing his .357 at the ranch and he kept getting intermittent misfires. Turns out the ammo was about 15 years old, lol.

I got two different brands of ammo and as soon as this rain ends(maybe Tuesday) i'll go out and try again. I hate to send the gun to manufacturer so soon after purchase. Will let you all know what happens. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks to the good people from Texas Thunder Range in San Antonio,TX who fixed my Rossi 38. Because of their attention, help and hard work I have a well oiled, working firearm.
Thank You.

Every fifth round would stick. Basically on every last round cylinder would get stuck and stop turning. The gap between loading side of the cylinder and inner frame of the gun was too small. Remedy was to widen that gap. I really did not want to send the weapon to the manufacturer and wait forever for it's return. So the good folks at Texas Thunder fixed my problem. It took about 2.5 hrs. but at the range on Sunday I shot about 50 rounds through the gun without a misfire.
Excellent.

I agree, being it's a revolver, I doubt it's the Ammo.

MHInc, some nice guns there! Andrew, the 1919 rocks! Takes me back to the old days in the Army. The R5 is nice too, and rare.

Here's another. I'll keep posting to keep encouraging others. Put em up!

With a BREN in Colorado this Spring. Shot down a remote controlled airplane with my bosses personal gun, much to his dismay!

Ow, man. Ow, ow, ow! Personally, for trap/skeet/clays, I use a 20 guage and extremely light loads. It doesn't take much to break a clay pigeon!

ps - Aren't Perazzis beautiful? Incredible craftmanship.
