That building out on the water is an abandoned pumping station that used to be manned 24/7 by 2 men. It's still in use, but it's automated now. Gotta wonder if the living quarters are still intact..

That's the river between Buffalo and Ft. Erie, right? I've seen that place and would LOVE to get out there.

That's it. I've seen it and took some pics of it up close too. It has to be alarmed though since it's still in service and trying to get in would draw a lot of attention too at that location.

You might be surprised. Sometimes a place's isolation is considered to be its best defence... perhaps they feel it's just not something many people would go out into the middle of the river for.

That being said, if it is alarmed, I can't imagine response time being that quick.
