I really like this photo, but I'm not 100% sure of it and I don't know why.

It's something that I can always go back and re-compose rather easily. Should I try it as an HDR? Or perhaps at sunset (it's looking towards West-NW)?

Any critique would be appreciated.

Re-Compose it, move in closer to eliminate the street light in the top left of the frame. Try stopping it down (higher f-stop), or use a CPOL filter to get better definition from the sky.

Wow. That's classic New York. I think there is a historical photo of the Statue of Liberty in pieces before assembly on that street, or nearby. The Chrysler or Empire State building fits perfect in the hole. A nice touch.

For sure, crop the light and sign, boost the clouds, maybe try black and white.
Could be the twenties except for the cars. I would go back for variations in the lighting.

Just checked the cover of my Once Upon a Time in America DVD, and they have a similar shot on the cover. Heritage is good.

Thanks for the input.

Axle, I used a UV haze, which is all I have. I will try to stop it down, the sky has been a problem around here for my because on clear days even, it's a bit hazy and smoggy out.

A. Lien, I googled the cover of that DVD, that might even be the same street! or definitely one of the neighboring ones. I think I will try this shot at dusk, and possibly another go at a daytime shot. I will get the light out of the shot by moving half a block or so closer. Boosting the sky will be the goal, too.

If your subject is the bridge, make the bridge in focus. Seems that the street lights are the subject as they are in focus.

What kind of camera/equipment are you using for this shot? -- Great view though. Keep it the same. That extra lamp is fine.

(edit: stupid grammar)
