D & D - annoying players?

Hey!
I just got back from my d & d campaign and there is one player I just can't stand- well none of us can. He's driving me crazy, both in game and out of it. Our DM dislikes him too but no one wants to ask him to leave the group.
Have any tales of annoying group members and how you dealt with them?

I'm normally the DM so I just write them out . Most of the time, I have more people wanting to play than I have seats, so when someone (other than the people I live with, they have permanent seats at my table) dies, the next person in line gets their seat. If I can't deal with a player then when he dies and rotates out, I just never call him back in when someone else dies.

Of course, Saint Gary once mentioned using ethereal mummies on cheats and twits to speed up the turnover rate...

Not D and D, but Cyberpunk, we used to have a similar situation. The rest of the group and the GM basically got together and worked out new and exciting ways to off the guy's characters every couple of sessions.

He eventually got the message...

Everybody has to deal with this at least once in their life if they play D&D. I think you need to have it out with the annoying player and ask him to shape up.

What is he playing, a 1/2 orc or just a nitwit?

Fuck it, kill him.

Half orc, good guess. I'm a halfling rogue, so one of these days I'll use camouflage to make one of his legs look like my dog. Then He'll eat it.

Get the leadership feat, get a bunch of followers. All 1/2lings on riffing dogs. Then feed him to the puppys!

I'm sorry, but by far the worst is the DM who intentionally tries to kill off a player. Where the bias is obvious, and then 15 min into it, you are dead. I joined a new party and I think they assumed I was a guy. Once I showed up, all girl like, they killed me off asap. I got to sit the next two hours thinking I would be revived by a healer.

"Steve, I was going to bed, I'm going to be on, and I have to throw com dot. Manning and Sean, slash, Sandra come into my name is John thousand anytime doctor that it maybe she'll come. Maybe she want. I think this please. I will probably show up when you are going to be there and calling and they are people okay alright. Bye bye."

Ouch! I think it's weird that there would have been such a bias against a female players. I always enjoyed a mix of male and female, it kept the game more balanced.

Is he being annoying in character or out? In character, I'd say some death threats would do the trick. THe player would get the picture pretty quick too. If it's out-of-character, I'd say just "forget" to invite him to the next session. I think that's what my fellow players did to me...
