dude, i should have taken a picture of my stomach after the infection i had from a c-section...i just thought they'd drain it and close it back up...no...

they drain it and leave it open, put a wound vac on it that sucks all the crap out and then once a day a nurse comes and repacks the wound.

i asked for a mirror so i could see it, and it looked like a big-ass dog or something took a bite out of my stomach. it looked so real that it looked fake you know?

Sounds nasty!

I've had my share of cuts over the years (some have been stitched) but have been damned lucky they didn't get infected.

I've had a glass break in my hands one time. Got mad and clamped down on it. Didn't realize what I did until I looked down and saw the blood. Saw a piece sticking in my thumb and again without thinking pulled it out. Should have went to the ER but I just cleaned up the cuts, bandaged them and went on. Took a few weeks to heal and there's a tiny scar on my thumb where I got the piece.

Gone for a while. Be back when I'm back.

I have a funny scar on my left hand from losing a fight with two frozen burritos. I was using a miracle blade knife trying to pry two frozen burritos apart.

The knife went in my hand between the thumb and first finger about two inches, Samurai's seen the scar. I didn't have insurance at the time, so they tried those stupid steri strips and they wouldn't seal it well enough, so the dipshit doc used big stitches because they charge so much for every five. So 6 stitches inside, 5 to close outside and 300 bucks later, I'm left with an inch and a half scar that needs to be reduced.

I thought that sucked, but jeeze...those looked much much much worse. At least you cut yourself with something sharp. Unlike me.

Half the fun of rural exploring is broken glass, usually from the houses sitting out in the open elements, or too close to trees...add barbed wire, usually hidden behind overgrown foliage, and locust trees with their inch long thorns, and yeah, good times all around. I've managed to step on a locust tree branch and pin my shoe to my foot with one of the thorns, I have barbed wire scars in places I'll never photograph, and glass cuts on my legs from ducking down and not paying attention...sometimes fun hurts like hell...

I get cut, scraped, poison ivy & everything else.

I never complain. I did something stupid & the cut is so bad & in an uncomfortable place on my hand.

I wear my exploring scars proud!

Hell yes! It's fun to see the look on people's faces when they ask about your scar and you tell them where and how you got it!

i put a nail through my leg at Linfield and was with this wuss guy, he wanted to go back, i just wrapped a bandana around it and kept going. till i got back to the car my jeans were soaked in blood and i should have had stitches, but i had a tetanus shot and cleaned it out well so it came out fine..nice scar though. I have a nice hand scar too, from Shawnee-RIP..glass sucks!
