DivaMonkey,

Now that Sadie is 6 months old, considering all the complications at birth, how is she doing now?

She just had her ears tested and her hearing is almost at 100% - We have to keep an eye on it for the next year or so, but so far so good on that note. Most preemie babies or babies who were on a ventilator at birth have to get their hearing tested for the first 1-2 years for continual loss.

Basically, a lot of things they told us would happen to her - didn't. And I really do believe that the prayers and thoughts of everyone saved her from further complications.

The last thing we have to test her for is a blood disorder that she has a 50/50 chance of inheriting from me (this clotting disorder is the reason she was so sick and why we had to have her three weeks early). Keeping my fingers crossed that I didn't pass my bad genetic makeup down to her!

Thank you so much for asking how she is! She's such a happy baby - we're truly blessed and not one moment goes by that we don't realize how fortunate and lucky we are.

:o)

Good to hear that she is doing so well. Got my fingers crossed that her blood work comes back okay.

Well there are some wonderful genetics that she can take from you. Hopefully she gets the medical from Dad and the sweetness from you. After the video of of Dad dancing the jury is still out on the dancing genes that was cute.

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.
