This kinda makes me laugh at Dallas...
I know, how about instead of putting an ordinance on Toy Guns, they take all the REAL guns away from the rednecks that abuse them!
( No offence to anyone from Texas, I wasn't speaking directly at you )
Dallas toy-gun ordinance timeline

June 2006 – The Dallas City Council begins investigating banning toy guns in the city.
August 2006 – Voting 7-1, the council's public safety committee recommends passage of one of the nation's most restrictive toy-handgun laws. The proposed ordinance would ban all toy guns except those painted a bright color or made of transparent or translucent material. The committee directs City Attorney Tom Perkins to craft a final ordinance.
October 2006 – After an hourlong closed-door meeting with Mr. Perkins, the public safety committee directs the city attorney to continue working on ordinance details after some council members expressed concern that the proposed law was too strict.
Late 2006 to early 2007 – The city attorney's office continues to study the toy-gun issue.
May 2007 –The city attorney's office presents a new toy-gun ordinance to the council's public safety committee that outlaws the display or brandishing of replica firearms in public places and bans ice cream vendors from selling them. The committee unanimously approves it, and later that month, the full council unanimously approves the law.
September 2008 – Sixteen months after the council passes the law, Dallas police have yet to write a single ticket under it.
