BUT, It wasnt the case.
As of right now, I'm pretty sure the toilet flooded into my room, Soaking into the carpet.

When they were rebuilding, There was mad cats running around the beams and stuff. Maybe the water brought the smell out?

I hope you found the problem. Cat pee is awful hard to get rid of. I had to pitch a recliner.

Now for the pissing on the cat. I brought one home that was peeing in front of the door. That was bad enough. One morning I hear my husband scream MICHELE!!!! at about 5:30am. Now you know that can't be good. By the time I get out of bed he is mother f'ing everything and is in the basement. Next thing you know he is coming upstairs in his underwear with the cat wrapped in a towel and he is hoses it off in the shower. The cat pissed in his chair, he sat in it. Then he proceeded to stick his face in it, take it to the basement and piss on it's head. Now he was nice enough to wash it off and the cat has not done it since.
