	I just watched this, possibly for the first time since I was eleven or so. I'm not sure if I've become more cynical, or if the film just hasn't dated well. Once so exciting (I mean, decapitation, yeah!), it now seems a mess of terrible acting and clueless plotting. Also, why make Sean Connery an Egyptian via Spain, and have him use his regular accent?! Apologies if this has been discussed at length before.

i got up and walked out of the theater when i saw this one.
I wasn't alone... there was a crowd of people demanding their money back.

i have the 'immortal' edition and there are scenes restored that make the movie better, definitely fill in some of the blanks from the earlier, theatrical release. Still, despite the clumsiness of the movie, it had something that I thought was pretty cool. 24 years later, i'm not sure what it is, but I'll still stay up and watch it when it runs on cable...

	I just came across a bunch of news articles from last year, claiming there's a remake of Highlander on the way. IMDB has it listed for release in 2010.
